In my state here in Australia we nominally "banned" it but completely carved out massive holes for religious exemptions, and STILL our conservative party booked at the passing of the legislation...

Conversion therapy remains legal when done by religious clergy but this would allow licensed therapists to engage in the abusive practice. Once they legalize it, the next step is to normalize it and then mandate it. The end goal is the eradication of LGBTQ identity to fulfill their eugenicist goals.

The Supreme Court is poised to overturn 32 state bans on conversion therapy and explicitly legalize the abusive and torturous process.

This practice involves physically abusing teenagers to try to turn them heterosexual, including with electric shocks and chemically-induced nausea.

I mean the literacy on the genre is wildly bad, cause a bunch of people got mad at Glass Onion for being different to Knives and they wanted a cosy winter manor set movie again, which means their ONLY solid reference for Whodunnits is KNIVES OUT itself!

Seeing a bad or messy movie is not a waste of time. If you only like The Movies when you see ones you like, then you don't love The Movies as an activity, you just enjoy certain ones...

I love talking about movies but its always a secondary activity to Watching and Experiencing them. The good and the bad.

I worry social media had reversed that, where being a part of Movie Discourse (and worse contrarians within it!) has become the Priority and Experiencing them, secondary.

I don't know who needs to hear this but playing with AI tech all the time is not "getting to know how it works" that's like huffing a bucket of cocaine as a means of "scientifically testing" the purity.

AI is designed to melt your brain and make you love it cause it's shiny.
