Today in #PhilosophyOfCosmology we talked about fine-tuning and naturalness, and introduced inflation and eternal inflation.
So many juicy philosophical questions that physicists don't take as seriously as they should! What does it mean for parameters/initial conditions to be "unnatural," anyway?

UChicago went on an absolutely *spectacular* spending binge in an attempt to overtake the likes of Harvard, MIT, and Princeton in prestige and instead it effectively destroyed its endowment and is now carving up departments in a desperate attempt to reclaim its riches via cost cutting.
