I can’t believe how tone deaf and transphobic you have to be to brag about something that denies lifesaving healthcare to literal children.

Seeing people criticising trans people for pointing out the guardian's persistent and systematic transphobia during the strike means that's enough social media for the day. You can't demand solidarity from the people you subject to violence on a regular basis.

That a right-wing lawyer just suggested before the Supreme Court that Americans don't have a right to not conform is... a real mask-off moment in a way I suspect is not going to get enough attention.

On the history of cross dressing bans, see @kredburn.bsky.social. This argument is why we need more transgender legal history.

Transphobia isn’t a distraction. It’s an attack on one of the most vulnerable populations and a reinforcement of biological essentialism, a pillar of patriarchal control that trans identity rightfully threatens

too many cis people have internalized the past decade of transphobia about how if they make a single minor mistake towards a trans person we'll go supernova meanwhile most trans people i know are hesitant to correct anyone on anything because they don't want to make a thing out of it.

Consider care trans care in prison. It seems like an edge case, but in order to get there you have to first believe our health care is frivolous and excessive rather than a human right, a position that requires you first ignore trans people's experiences having their lives saved by it.

This is a great example of why “transmisogyny” matters as a distinction, and is also a demonstration of Kimberlé Crenshaw’s intersectionality analysis inaction. The two concepts reflect the same intuition.
