Raising Livestock for meat production has caused the destruction of forests and other beneficial ecosystems at a rate orders of magnitude above any impacts solar production is having. Forests vs solar is just not a real issue.

i once, naively, thought that the defense establishment would take climate change seriously enough to be, if not supportive, at least rationally responsive to acting on the issue
