I'm starting to work on designing my "Archaeology and the Public" course for next spring. Does anyone have syllabi, assignments, or lesson plans they'd be willing to share on the subjects of public arch, collaborative arch, pseudoarch, or journalistic & pop culture depictions of arch?🏺 #academicsky

A lot of people think that every international student admitted means one fewer spot for domestic students, when the opposite is more likely true - the tuition revenue international students bring allows public universities to provide substantial discounts to domestic students, improving access.

Ugh! I know the feeling—I've had that account since 2012 and it's been useful, esp. for sharing with LatAm audiences. But don't think I'll be uploading anything, even if I can't quite bring myself to delete it yet. Time will tell if Knowledge Commons becomes a viable alternative, I suppose.

A request for help. I am looking for article-length examples of historiography that takes place and built environment seriously. I don't think exactly architectural history, but emphasizing people occupying and using particular places. This is a methodological example for an undergraduate project. 🗃️

It’s official! We’re launching the UCLA Department of Labor Studies. After years of building as a small but mighty “program,” Labor Studies has been elevated to departmental status. We’re the first but hopefully not the last of our kind in the UC system.

United Academics of Maryland (UAM) was in the house at the campaign launch of @senbillferg.bsky.social last week.

We were there to tell him we need him to lead on passing our bill for collective bargaining rights for ALL faculty across Maryland.

We hope you will make that commitment, Senator.
