I quilted the layers of the brim together and it did get much stiffer. I'm going to bind the edge—I already sewed up the seam on the point lining, plus I also quilted that, so I figured I'd try bias binding for the first time.

I grew up casually Catholic and never understood that Protestants said they were Christian. We're also Christian, I thought. Then I moved to the Midwest, became familiar with Evangelical/apocalypse etc. Christians, and learned that Catholics are fucking *hated*.

I've worked this book twice, each time with a different group, and found it valuable. I thought it might be easier to find a therapist who knows IFS than the LPG, hence that exploration.

I bought it but I haven't worked it. Yesterday I read this and decided to go more carefully, but I also recognize (1) there are bad actors in that story and (2) I'm considering exploring IFS as backup for learning to become my own loving parent.
