My mind is so foggy! Can’t focus at all. Finally have a sleeping pill that lets me fall asleep quickly instead of after two hours of pounding heart and stay asleep until 4 am instead of 3am, but is it robbing me of even more clarity? Fix one thing, there’s always a price elsewhere! #biolar #anxiety

Here, Helena experienced a very stressful thing yesterday and it’s just now getting to her…

She ran back to her dorm, an overwhelming sense of being trapped in her own skin consuming her. The fire at the back of her head had only been postponed by her drive, enflaming now into a roar, until she wanted to rip her hair out. She closed herself in her room and shoved her fist over her mouth to stifle a squealing sob, a wild animal sound. Genevieve was thankfully not home, but Helena wasn’t sure if she would have cared if she saw her lose control now. Her body responded to the chaos inside by tearing her room apart, pulling the sheets off the bed, throwing books and shoes across the room, even clawing at the carpet, like a trapped animal tearing at its cage in madness. Cries of rage into the floor were strangled by self-consciousness, part of her straining to reign in her own fury and anguish, so no one could hear her outburst. It frightened her. Normal people don’t behave this way, she reminded herself. Normal people didn’t express themselves like this. But her limbs felt filled with blades that she wanted to get out. What did normal people do with all these feelings? Did they never feel like this? Is that what made her different? A tuxedo tabby cat laying on a carpet surrounded by cat toys, looking languid and exhausted

She reaches up to brush soft hair away from her eye. She isn't perfect after all. Her face has flaws. I can see them now. Her eyes are hazel, which when you get down to it, really isn’t even a color. There's a tiny scar on her chin. Her lips are too smooth and full, and irresistible. #WIPSnips
