Immigration is the topic that makes me feel the most gaslit. Where are these people? How are people saying the process is easy? Every migrant I know has paid thousands and waited years to get citizenship? And if you come in illegally that's one of the bravest and hardest things a person can do?

The crucial thing to remember is that yesterday was probably only important as an expression of the malice felt towards us by a few powerful people. It has little practical effect right now.
We are right to be coldly angry about it and to treat it as a wake up call to defend our rights.
