The Department of Justice is a serious institution full of committed public servants who have left literally millions on the table to try to do good. And now another Trump troll is shitposting in their name. Who can trust in the independence and integrity of prosecutions under these circumstances?

"Get the principals on camera" is such a telling phrase here, because it tells us that for Weiss there's no world in which the victims of these horrific actions can actually be seen as the subjects of the story: They're background noise, and the people who matter are the ones sending them.
Weiss concluded: “We need to be able to make every effort to get the principals on the record and on camera. To me, our viewers come first, not a listing schedule or anything else. And that is my North Star, and I hope it's the North Star of every person in this newsroom.”

Apparently sustaining death or serious injuries at the hands of a drunk driver does not constitute wealth extraction, according to the ACLU.
The California ACLU is staunchly opposed to the ignition interlock device program and is a big reason that it has not been expanded. Despite the fact that California heavily subsidizes the cost for low-income drunk drivers, the ACLU says that the program is a form of "racialized wealth extraction."
