#pwME, please mask up with an ffp2/n95 respirator for community care!
wondering if i should upgrade to a folding shower chair, since i need a new one?

my old one was just a regular plastic footstool, non-folding.

but it would be good to have a backrest, esp if it leans back a little. would be good for the POTS symptoms for sure. hmmm
shopping for a new shower stool and why are there ones that look identical as far as i can tell but different prices?

also accepting recs for good websites to buy from in the uk, if u have any!

"What happens in the U.S. doesn’t stay in the U.S. Travellers carry vaccine‑preventable diseases across borders on planes, buses, ships and road trips. When one country is less vaccinated, preventable diseases infect other countries, raising the risk of exposure and spread" -
Few things scare me as much as a really sick child.

...but U.S. changes to childhood vaccines make the list.

Viruses don't give a hoot about borders.

I saw a poll where everyone in the UK is convinced London is particularly unsafe, except for Londoners who recognise it's fine (London is objectively safe relative to the rest of the UK) and the anti London shit in this country pisses me off

ICE uses the same playbook as Israel.

Renee Good bled out in her car for 15 minutes while federal agents stopped medics from reaching her, exactly what Israeli soldiers did to 17-year-old Ahmad Rajabi in Hebron weeks earlier. mondoweiss.net/2026/01/from...
From Palestine to Minneapolis, ICE and Israel use the same violent playbook
Renee Good, like many Palestinians before her, died because authoritarian forces decided she did not deserve to live, and because the entire legal and political structure exists to ensure those agents...

"No one here has symptoms” isn't a reliable way to rule out COVID when around 40% of infections are asymptomatic.

Please don't say this to dismiss others’ precautions

In the last year before Covid arrived in England, 4,059 people waited more than twelve hours to get admitted to hospital after the decision was made to admit them to hospital.

During the emergency phase of the pandemic that number rose to a staggering 48,626.

I've seen people say that the officer who murdered Nicole Good should be charged with murder, and to that I add that every officer who kept medics from arriving, who barred doctors from helping should also be charged under conspiracy doctrine.

Rumor going around town that ICE is going to be targeting local schools during drop offs and pick ups. Had to have a serious conversation with other parents about strategies to keep our kids and their parents safe. People are crying, terrified. But at least we’re free from terrorism

Fucking tremors are too bad to continue posting for now, urgency keeps rising: what is the step after 'high'? Extreme? Something like that! Please spread the word, could really really use like 250 by tomorrow!
Reclassifying the urgency of the first stage of fundraising to high after doing some calculations. Any amount appreciated alliteratively.
Let's start 2026 with a hopeful campaign!

As traditionally sales lag in January and also France turns out to be expensive I'm setting the goal at 3500. At least half of that is moderately urgent!

Art: random, but theming it Mediterranean!

Gisele Pelicot was drugged by her husband for a decade. He invited over 80 men to rape her

Some said no

None got her help. They didn’t go to the police. They didn’t tell her. They just called themselves “good men” for not raping

Even the medical system failed her.

We need you to do more:
Gisele Pelicot, Medical Misogyny and How Disabled People Face Increased Risk of Abuse
Most of us have heard Gisele's story. It's a reminder that even men you trust can harm you. Did you know that she went to her doctors for help? A look at how medical misogyny contributed to her abuse.

“Not all men”

Just 80 men in a small region of France who chose to rape Gisele Pelicot.

Just 70,000 men in a Telegram group rape chat discussing how to drug and rape their own moms, sisters and wives.

Just these men having a “pro rape meet up”.

This is rape culture.
