There's been very little coverage in the British media of the employment tribunal ruling that found Sandie Peggie had harassed a woman

It's refreshing to see The National step up with fuller, more accurate reporting, shedding light on the realities of this case where most other outlets have failed
Excellent journalism from my colleague Xander Elliards, looking at the Sandie Peggie verdict and which parts of haven't received much media attention.

From Peggie harassing Dr Upton, to racist jokes and her evidence being deemed "not credible", there is a LOT.

But it sure is looking like I can do this full-time without anything but the local markets and galleries.

Wow: Lemkin Institute for Genocide Prevention (named for Holocaust survivor Raphael Lemkin, who coined term "genocide") calls Clinton's remarks "genocide denial."

"Young people in the US are not stupid or gullible. They simply reject genocide – something the Secretary might consider doing as well."

If you care about higher ed in America, this excellent piece might be the most depressing thing you've read in a long while. Small liberal arts colleges are in deep trouble all over the country. (The problems started well before Trump.) Many are closing. Some might be saved, but at a terrible price.
For a couple of years now, I've been fascinated with what's happening at small liberal arts colleges, which are running out of money for reasons unrelated to Trump funding cuts. Businessweek let me go deep on the problems, and one college that's trying to blaze a new trail.
Why a College Fighting for Survival Is Slashing Econ and Physics Majors
At Albright in Pennsylvania, the new president is cutting programs, selling art and real estate, and vowing not to hire anyone with tenure. Is this the way forward for liberal arts colleges?

REPEAT AFTER ME (but really, after Neil Kraus):

Wage stagnation and underemployment are not problems that education can fix. We cannot "upskill" students into well-paying jobs that do. not. exist.
Do not accept the premise that education is to blame for abysmal jobs outcomes.

“The fantasy economy's framing of economic inequality… focuses exclusively on education…deflects attention away from decades of public policies and changing business practices that have…contributed to stagnating wages”

The conflation of "foreign criminals" and "illegal migrants" is disgusting.

Vile when some people don't have a safe route to flee from the utter detestation & brutality of war.

It's all grim enough without the Labour Government pushing further misinformation.

Remember when I said people were rong on the internet yesterday? This is what it was about. Now this is clear, everything is fine.
This picture has been making the rounds again, and is being misidentified again.

This is a GOOSEFISH.

This is NOT a tasselled wobbegong shark.

It’s a great pic. I get why people are very excited about it. But it’s as easy to give it the right name as the wrong one.

he's a bigoted prime minister
The the two of you are both very lucky (I’m 59) but if you continue on this rather strange ranty anti Starmer obsession you’ll be rewarded with an actual ‘bigoted’ Prime Minister

The venn diagram of transphobia and other bigotries remains a circle.
Kishwer Falkner, the former EHRC chair, is on Sky saying the Labour government is anti-women, citing not just trans issues but also grooming gangs and what she calls pandering to Islam and racial sensitivities. She's not exactly dispelling the idea she was a political actor when she led the EHRC.
