The richest country in the world with the largest most expensive army.

The most people in prison, the lowest life expectancy, the highest medical costs, the highest murder rate and 60% of people living in poverty

What happened starting in 1980?

Mass Privatisation.

So instead of your wages being decided by what your Government could afford and what you earned, you are paid as little as possible to maximise profit.

The Trump administration's foreign policy strategy attacks allies including the UK & has been enthusiastically greeted by the Kremlin. Last month, the USA announced a 'peace deal' the Kremlin had written.

And in the UK, the media is full of people still wibbling about 'Trump Derangement Syndrome'.

In 2014 Farage defended a comedian who appeared at UKIP conference and made a string of offensive "jokes" about Polish, Somalia, Muslims and Asian people.

The BBC by contrast banned the Black and White minstrel show in 1978

Nigel Farage.

The man who's spent 20 years attacking the politically correct "woke" BBC now attacking it for... checks notes ... "showing the Black and White Minstrel Show in the 1970s".

Always good to be consistent Nigel.

Rightly lots of debates about growth this weekend - rightly because it was low productivity growth that saw wages entirely flatline during the 2010s.

Seems like the real challenges the UK faces are too complex so instead everyone is going to choose to focus on complete inanities and who can be scapegoated next. Which is only going faster on the road to decline.

I remain genuinely gobsmacked that this wasn’t picked up more. The Alex Jones who *repeatedly accused grieving parents of making up their children’s murders*.
Anyway, “after the news we’ll be joined by Nigel Farage & definitely won’t be asking him about any of this…”
On US TV shows and podcasts from 2009-18, Farage discussed supposed plots by bankers to create a global government, citing Goldman Sachs, the Bilderberg group and George Soros as threats to democracy. Included six guest slots with the disgraced far-right US conspiracy theorist Alex Jones.
