My nana (and godmother) Nora Behan died 50 years ago today. She was very devoted to Our Lady so we lit candles in her memory in our local church this morning. She was only 57 when she died and had a tough life. 10 children in 20 years and a few that didn't make it. My mam was named after her 🩵

My friend just rescued a cat who had been in a hoarder’s house and then in a shelter’s cage for five months. Came home today.

Something my kitten does that's different from any cat I've had before is take her toys to bed with her. This morning she had her raccoon and her squirrel with her. At nap time today, she took her bird. 🥹

Two years ago today we got a notification that a litter of puppies was dumped by the side of the road and the shelter was in desperate need of fosters.

I have killed no less than 4,000 fruit flies today because we had bananas that were browning really fast…which I ended up using to make banana bread with….but that then attracted ants into our kitchen (and onto the fresh banana bread 😭) and so now I’m gonna spend Christmas in a sanitarium 🙃

My finest feathered friend loves to greet me in front of my building. I’ve known him since he was an ugly, lil’ screeching gray baby. He has a twin who is a lot more shy, but Benny? He’ll walk right to the door to come say hello and beg for peanuts.
