This. This right here. This is why calling your reps works. It gets results. Anyone who says "there's no point" needs to shut the hell up and get on the phone, because when you make enough noise, make a big enough public outcry, they will get scared, and they will respond.
After public outcry, a provision has been removed from the House tax bill that would've essentially given the executive branch free rein to shut down non-profits and stifle dissent.
This is a big win, but we must keep up the pressure to make sure this dangerous proposal stays dead.
