Thankfully, the tsunami warning expired around 6 AM this morning, and the majority of the reported waves were only around .2 meters (9 inches). Aftershocks have continued around the waters off east Aomori (including a 6.4 magnitude quake at 6:52 AM), so maintaining some vigilance may be worthwhile.

Truly, this is the crux of the issue that naysayers have with the endgame pairing: their biggest moments happen so independently from one another that their getting together doesn't feel narratively satisfying even though it's been telegraphed from the very beginning
