I can understand people who hear about moose and do not fully comprehend what they are. I do not understand people who see THIS THING and don't immediately recognize the threat. We grew up with them visiting our farm, and while we were taught to be respectful, it was also sort of obvious.

moose are prey that outsized most of their viable predators. that old deer instinct to throw hooves and antlers with killing intent at anything that vagely appears as a threat in a full ton of megafauna deer is the same murderhorse intent in the end left in hippos

There are thousands of mountain lions in the state! (Or do you mean the other kind? Because, yeah, there are probably 25 lions being kept in conditions that aren't a zoo or a sanctuary. I'm definitely more scared of yahoos with exotic pets than wildlife.)

Agree. Especially since the authoritarians are militantly opposed to anything that's actually fun. Part of what we're trying to protect is the ability to take joy in things besides money and other people's suffering.
