I work on rockets and stuff, and love anime. Opinions are my own and do not reflect the views of NASA.

NASA HQ's "bold vision for American leadership in space" everyone. Even ISS will have to be ended early if the people who maintain it are fired. Janet and the President's plans would end US human spaceflight completely.

It's really cool watching the acting NASA administrator openly admit that the plan is to fire massive amounts of NASA employees, shut down NASA facilities, close entire offices and projects, replace people with AI..... and do all of it without Congressional approval and before Congress can act.

Perhaps this is a signal that the US needs to go back to the "tired and true" model where the Government owns its vehicles again so as not to be completely dependent on the whims of an ego-maniac with deep pockets hopped up on ketamine. I'm being blunt but after what's happened, the gloves are off.
It was never supposed to be this way, at least not on the NASA side of things. There was always supposed to be at least two providers to prevent over-reliance on one company. Instead, it evolved into what we got. And now the monster NASA helped create may help destroy the agency.
still baffles me that NASA, and even the DoD, engaged in this relationship with SpaceX where the US government did so much business with one supplier for so long...

The new NASA FY2026 budget request is abysmally bad. Gutting Artemis, huge cut to ISS, huge cut to science, huge cut to the NASA workforce and many other things. It's embarrassing that NASA published this graphic with it, so I fixed it.
This is how you lose your space program.

This weekend NASA lifted the Core Stage of the second SLS rocket into place on Mobile Launcher 1. This 212 foot tall stage is the backbone of the SLS rocket, and is responsible for the majority of the energy needed to reach orbit.

I give it a 70% chance that this uninformed dipshit "conservative influencer" has a secret Elon baby. Also I'm not surprised that her followers are actual nazis.

I was the Commander of the @ISS when Andy, @Astro_Andreas flew his first space mission. He is one of the most competent, trustworthy, and honest people I’ve ever met. This rhetoric is beyond the pale but, sadly, not surprising. He does not deserve this kind of disrespect.

This did not age well, considering that it's happening to many very important parts of the government.
It's distressing how many people (including the new incoming NASA administrator) are advocating for dismantling most of what makes NASA great. They act like destroying NASA would help the US space program grow. No, it'd just be handing our lead to China and making us a two-bit country.

This is just straight up nazi shit. The existence of the first black fighter pilot unit isn't "DEI". It's American history. Especially because the unit proved themselves well in battle. It seems like there's lots of racist managers over stepping the bounds of the already racist order.

So the one Eric Berger will disclose (by image, not for name for some reason) is a space policy focal for the group who published Project 2025...

Who are the other 4?!? It sounds like there is a major reason he won't disclose them and it should probably scare *everyone* in the industry.

Von Braun never advocated nazi policies when he was a US citizen, and he even directly helped the civil rights movement and helped hire black people to NASA.

Elon advocates against minorities working in aerospace and endorsed neo nazis in Germany, he's an even bigger nazi than Von Braun was.

2 years ago today, Artemis I launched, which was the first time that a crew capable spacecraft has been launched to the moon since the 1970s. Here's a short thread of some of my favorite pictures from my trip to KSC for the launch.
