lol. The new element for my oven that went out last week just arrived. $37 and 30 minutes( hopefully) instead of a new oven.
I’m losing my patience for doing small house repairs but my desire to not pay someone else to do them is as strong as ever. Had to take the entire fucking sink out just to pull the old faucet out. Don’t won’t to admit how much time I have in it just to have running water again.

The trinket culture thing is wild. It’s like every public event now. Our daughters came home with like a dozen things. Someone even gave me a random stone arrowhead that appeared to be handmade.

C/2025 K1 ATLAS
Apparently this “the other ATLAS”, a new comet from the Oort Cloud making its first (and perhaps only) trip through the inner solar system. 🔭 🧪 #Seestar S50

We have upgraded our geomagnetic forecast today (12 November 2025) to the highest intensity level amid an ongoing solar storm.

Current predictions suggest that the activity will result in potentially the largest solar storm to hit our planet in over two decades.

VERY unseasonably cold weather coming in. Harvested the rest of the lettuce, beets greens, and radishes. Cabbage will tolerate it just fine. 🌱

Poppy seedlings come up just as the first frost is coming in. They are very cold tolerant but I’m not sure if they need to be bigger before the frost. I’m sure more than I need to will survive the winter.
