And then think, "Why would they want to remove those protections?"
Who does he want to make unprotected?
Why does he want them unprotected?
Why does he want them vulnerable?
I can only think of one answer & I don't like it.
To make them unable to protect themselves from harm, abuse, or exploitation

Reform UK is "The School Bully Party". SBP.

They bully migrants, the disabled, the old, the sick, children with SEND needs.

Everyone knew (and remembers) the school bullies in their old schools. Their only aim was to make life worse for others. Just like Reform UK.

Not for the first time, I’m being told that attacking Farage for his boyhood racism is futile. The opposite is the case, as you can see from how rattled he is by it.

And no, it’s not about persuading Farage fans anything, it’s about mobilising the non-voters and encouraging tactical voting.

So tell me again how Nigel Farage, who just took the largest ever political donation, from a Tory mega-donor, and another donation from the Viscountess wife of the non-dom owner of the Daily Mail, is planning to "take on the establishment"

By mimicking Reform to win back support, the Labour government is making a serious mistake. This race to the bottom emboldens Farage, punishes vulnerable people, amplifies racism, and undermines those working to hold communities together.

Failing to deliver there is what leads to people looking for scapegoats and being persuaded by the dangerous rhetoric of those who don't care about equality or improving the life chances of ordinary working people. (5/6)

Never forget that all this cruelty and divide is just part of the effort to limit the tax paid by billionaires.

Migrants are not the problem they're just least able to defend themselves.

In light of this I think we can reject the excuse that KS referencing the rivers of blood speech was an accident. It was foreplay.
