Found 4 active acorn woodpecker granary trees in the mountains today en route to the desert. Group of eight birds very busy very vocal. These really are the coolest woodpeckers. So much fun to be around. 🪶

Heute war es bereits bevor der Regen einsetzte sehr windig. Über der Wiese taumelte ein Pfauenauge, bis es sich am Gras festhalten konnte und erfolgreich gegen den Wind stemmte.

Ein Pfauenauge klammert sich im starken Wind an einen Grashalm um nicht fortgeweht zu werden.
