I heard.. Rachel Reeves once.. and you need to brace yourself for this.. didn’t put her trolly back at the supermarket.. she left it against a wall near where she’d been parked 😱

Yup I know.. there’s no going back on that

Yeah you may say Farage racially abused kids at school.. but about Reeves 🤦🏼‍♂️

Ah yes, the crossword.

Today's clue was: "Play this with a boot going round hoping for Free Parking (8)"

The answer was . . .

OBLIGATO
Now to business. The crossword leaps on abound, and so to news of 6 down:

I have received this statement from the Grand Pooh-bah of international film classification:

"Die Hard cannot be a Christmas film because of the number of innocent people who get killed without regard. Innocent people get killed in Westerns. Their lives are as meaningless as their death. However...

Then the question is, why did Labour - including Starmer in its shadow cabinet - spend four years with its thumb up its arse letting it happen?
👏 Keir Starmer PM: "How Brexit was sold and delivered was wrong. Wild promises were made to the British people and not fulfilled."

"The idea that leaving the EU was the answer to all our cares and concerns has clearly been proved wrong."

Keir Starmer is still talking like an idiot. Of course he has to say Brexit has failed. We can all see it's failed, he can hardly say otherwise.
But he still can't get his brain to say it was a mistake.

In fact, it's a Christmas Western. If you told someone to take all the tropes of a western, and all the tropes of a Christmas film, and mash them together in a big bucket of popcorn, this is what you get.

Watched BBC 6 o clock news. Just a completely unserious broadcast. Chris Mason, acting like a children's entertainer, giving a prolonged impenetrable editorial. Not a whiff of informative content about the Budget or what it means for the country. Just playschool blah blah bollocks.

We're in the Brexit cliffhanger now. It's the end of the film, Britain's arse is hanging over the cliff and Michael Caine is trying to inch his way towards the golden Brexit without sending the whole country over the edge.
He's got a great idea, lads . . .

I'm cyber squatting the name "Conform" in case the Tories and Farage do a merger.
From my post on whether Reform will kill the Tories. These two are group one:

There is no Brexit black hole because there is no Brexit. There never was a Brexit, or Europe. There is no such place as Europe. No one who has ever tried to find it has come back, and those who claim to have seen it are all mad.

And plunging ever deeper into the crossword, we now come to an emphatic 16 across:

16 ac. What to do with a future promising care order without child benefit (4,7,2,2)

Saying there is a Brexit "debate" is like saying there is a vaccine debate in America.
There is no debate. One is fact, and the other is false.

It's true people may cling quite fiercely to a mistake, but they don't need a "debate" to cure them, they need therapy.
