What matters most is how well you walk through the fire.

I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick ass. And I'm all out of bubblegum.

Hoped to never have to post this, but here's a quick "rules of engagement" rundown:

I only block accounts if I see they're solicitation scams. Disagreement is welcome.

If I don't follow you, please don't take it as an insult. If you follow I might be more likely to check in on you, but that's it.

For those who make New Year's resolutions, here's a good one to begin the year with:

• Don't take any shit.

If you begin with that one and adhere to it, the others start to fall in place.

Idiots love to believe lies, possibly because it's the only thing they're good at.
ProPublica examined months of Fox News’ coverage and reviewed over 700 videos posted on social media.

The network used five-year-old footage, mislabeled other dates and implied footage from elsewhere was in Portland.

In the amazing Christmas movie Scrooged, there's a scene where Bill Murray's character ends up in the sewer with a dead homeless man and he says "Where is this, Trump Tower?" Even back then (1988), even in comedic Christmas movies(!), they associated Trump with heartlessness, filth, and neglect.

ProPublica identified 17 people who each shielded at least $1 billion in capital gains from the so-called Net Investment Income Tax.

Together, this small group, by collectively exempting more than $35 billion, saved about $1.3 billion in taxes.

How Billionaires Sidestepped a Tax Aimed at the Rich
Wall Street financiers were a clear target of the tax, but some, on questionable legal grounds, have claimed their outsized profits were exempt, sometimes avoiding hundreds of millions in taxes.

I don't pay much attention to commercials, but for awhile I've been hearing one where the vocalist is saying "I've got the drip" or something similar. I figured it's for an anti-venereal disease medication, and paid no mind. Turns out it's for Velveeta and now I associate Velveeta with gonorrhea.

@sammonson.bsky.social Why isn't Big Goofy on Bluesky? He seems affable enough. Certainly not like the type to willingly choose to help pad the net worth and clout of a multibillionaire White supremacist, at least.

Keep chipping away with no fear of personal loss, even that of life or liberty. Those are both being eroded by the regime anyway. It's better to die on your feet than live on your knees.
Americans across the political spectrum are increasingly withdrawing support and resisting regime abuses. Analysts say consolidation attempts are faltering, and the regime may respond with desperate, violent action. Stay informed, stay united. Please share & subscribe. 🙏

It's nice when I occasionally get reminded why I normally ignore any account that won't allow replies unless you're a follower. Invariably they turn out to be super sensitive about everything, think anything but blind praise is an attack, and are perpetually looking for reasons to feel offended.

Henceforth I declare Trump's name a verb describing stepping in something extremely gross and unwittingly dragging it all over. Like "stepped in dog shit and trumped it all over the carpet" or "rather than risk trumping everything from that port-a-potty floor on anything nice, I threw out my shoes."

This is such a simple strategy, for a simple "mind." If an election goes your way, it was fair and honest and every vote was counted accurately. If an election goes against you, it was rigged and there was massive and widespread fraud. An infantile tactic for any human over the age of four.
President Donald Trump said the Nov. 4 California redistricting election was rigged. The White House pointed to the state’s system of sending mail ballots to everyone. That isn’t evidence of fraud.

I'm totally fine with bad people dying. In fact, I wish it happened more frequently.
