Stamp collector, art collector, historical document collector; a typewriter. Not necessarily in that order.

There are only three of these aircraft in existence today. This is the beginning story of one them.

I do encourage anyone with a love of history and research to join me in a slow thread (to solve a mystery).

Merry Christmas 🎁
(1/3) Today, a 19 Nov 1934 cover sent from Tahiti by ornithologist James Paul Chapin during the Templeton Crocker Pacific Expedition. It bears two 75c Établissements de l’Océanie stamps, paying the 1f50 foreign letter rate, and Chapin’s trademark hand-drawn birds.

As kids, we would play and fight over checkers beneath my mothers feet as she would draw in pencil or charcoal -at on old rickety drafting table.
I remember the soft glow of candlelight surrounding us often.

No way Trump is getting Greenland. There are Danish and French troops defending the island and some vessels. Also the people there are prepared for the hybrid war. It won't work. Also the island is not that populated so easier to keep check of everything. Greenland is part of Denmark which is EU.

A recurring theme in my art is the universality of shoulder and hip joints (being containers for spirits). Virtually every animal shares this trait, from birds to whales. The four eyes symbolize, top being shoulder joints, bottom being hips, central face being their contained spirit. It's universal.

#WWII Crosby asked about the most difficult thing he ever had to do during his entertainment career was he "had to stand and sing ‘White Christmas’ with 100,000 G.I.’s in tears without breaking down himself. Of course, a lot of those boys were killed in the Battle of the Bulge a few days later.”
#WWII On Christmas Day 1941, Bing Crosby stepped up to the microphone to introduce his new song. As the orchestra began to play, Crosby’s calming baritone floated over the airwaves: “I’m dreaming of a white Christmas, just like the ones I used to know"

There is some debate about the first Xmas stamps (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christm...)
Canada got the word on a stamp in 1898 but festive stamps like today's started to take off in the 50s
Great Britain didn't join in until 1966 with the above two.
Sorry it's brief I'm ill!

Ons halfrond, onze beleving. 🤷
Northern Hemisphere Reasoning:

December Solstice has the least daylight, so for every day of Winter & Spring, daylight increases, up to the Summer Solstice.

June Solstice has the most daylight, so for every day of Summer & Autumn, daylight decreases, up to the Winter Solstice.

Today is the Solstice.

Cherish what little light we do have.

Anticipate better days as we set aside the darkness.

Now is not a time for surrender.
