The US government is summarily executing people on a weekly basis without telling the American people any of their names or presenting any proof of their guilt, for alleged crimes that do not carry the death penalty in the US.

My health insurance premiums will more than double in January. I pay a little less than $500/month for my current silver plan.

I just reapplied and my new premium will be $1062/month.

And don’t forget: I still have a co-pay for every visit and pay for prescriptions.

Child-Rapist Trump promised to round up the "worst criminals." Only 5% of the people ICE has detained have any record. 75% have No Record at all. ICE have also sent 600 immigrant children to detention facilities. This is higher than the previous administrations 4 years combined. Trump has to go.
5% of People Detained By ICE Have Violent Convictions, 73% No Convictions
Trump’s deportation agenda does not match campaign promises and is taking resources away from targeting true public safety threats.

Huge respect to the papers for finding both an 88 year old worried about the tax bill on her 6 bedroom Kensington house and a 20 year old fretting about only being able to save £12k a year tax free.
Top work all around. These are not easy case studies to find.

GUARDIAN: “Per head, 🇺🇸 output is six times China’s, and yet, inexplicably, there seem to be more abjectly poor Americans than Chinese. 🇺🇸 inequality is breathtaking… keeps getting worse…”

Wanting to address this isn’t radical.

NOT wanting to is.

Rachel Reeves just thanked Joe Powell in the budget for his representations on high street tax evasion and pledged more resources to track down "fraudulent business owners who vanish without paying their taxes". This is one of the issues Joe raised with the chancellor.
What's up with the Harry Potter shops in central London?

London Centric's investigation into their finances was raised in the House of Commons by Kensington and Bayswater Labour MP Joe Powell. He asked ministers what it will take to get HMRC officials to check the shops are paying their taxes.

My law firm is currently litigating 61 voting and election cases, including 12 redistricting cases. We have four cases in one stage or another before the Supreme Court.

These cases — and others like them —
will play a pivotal role in whether we have free and fair elections in 2026 and 2028.
