If the bass drops in the forest, and no one is there to hear it, is it still off the chain?

At least once you get past the border, you can enjoy America's amazing national parks - for an extra $100 per person for foreign visitors in addition to the entry fee.
So if you are a family of four, its a grand for visas, and another $400 for every national park.

For gods sake, AI can't do a 3x3 sudoku yet, and that's a really small piece of cake compared to spotting their own hallucinations.
There's a big difference between picking the best next word & making deductions - and that's before you get to induction, and of course the even harder abduction.

Students, staff, faculty turning to ChatGPT? That means they are being asked to do things they don't have the time, resources, support, etc to do.

If it has EVER WORKED, someone would give the faculty who ask these questions in every single damn meeting right before the next knife goes in an example of a school this saved. Instead, the consultant/administrative/business class insists it does with no examples of how or where and when.

IT NEVER WORKS. NEVER. EVER. NEVER WORKS. IT HAS NEVER WORKED. AUSTERITY LEADS TO ENROLLMENT COLLAPSE LEAVES TO UNIVERSITY CLOSURE. EVERY TIME. ALWAYS.

From Doctrow's reverse centaur piece: "It's supposed to get artists to run around and say, "The AI can do my job, and it's going to steal my job, and isn't that terrible?"

Because the customers for AI – corporate bosses – don't see AI taking workers' jobs as terrible. They see it as wonderful..."

I'd add that the music was so discordant. Different music could have almost made this work, but this visual had a very "there's no alternative" feel. Dexter singing a pop ballad as he cuts someone apart.
