MTG: I don’t like this law, but am for it because I don’t want my own children’s health premiums to double.

So… you do like it?

Years ago, scientists warned us that Covid would create an "unfathomable" crisis of longterm illness that included diseases not typically diagnosed as "Long Covid." Now a fight over exploding healthcare costs has shut down the government. These two things are connected.

The idea that you need to get sick more to stay healthy is anti vax, anti science propaganda, and it’s frankly annoying how often I hear it from the liberal supposedly pro science crowd

I’m sorry…. But at this point if you fall for “ your kid is always sick because they haven’t been sick enough…”

“Often when people online claim that the studies about Long COVID “can’t be true,” their evidence is that we’d be seeing a catastrophic level of damage around us by now were their findings accurate- and I’d argue that you can’t see what you refuse to see.”

Nobody has Long COVID, but everybody has brain fog, cognitive decline and memory loss. I talk about the overwhelming scientific evidence that COVID damages the brain, and the overwhelming social unwillingness to acknowledge it in my latest:

Last month Judge Diane Goodstein blocked SC from giving DOJ voter data.

Last week Harmeet Dhillon of the DOJ condemned Goodstein's ruling.

Yesterday Stephen Miller called "left wing judges & lawyers" as "terrorists requiring force."

Today Judge Goodstein's home is on fire, investigated for arson.

A MAGA teenager was spurned by a teen girl so he sent pizza to her home to intimidate her. The police ignored it.

Then, he saw she mocked Charlie Kirk so he murdered her and her friend by ramming his truck into them at 70mph while they were riding their bikes.

He's now charged with murder.

I was told not to teach a class on the intellectual histories of Zionism and Anti-Zionism next year - not because they doubted I could teach it fairly, but because it would attract too many politicians scrutinizing the syllabus.

A society where that is a valid fear is no longer fully democratic.

Me before having a kid: I will never cut the crusts off bread for my child, they will learn to eat the crust.

Me after 6 years of parenting: let me eat these crusts from my child’s toast for my breakfast for the 400th time.

It appears that two hedge fund leaders are behind the letter that the Trump administration sent to nine selective universities this week.
Ideas from Mr. Rowan’s group were quietly circulating in higher education circles by early March, when a handful of administrators and lawyers passed around an unsigned draft of what was then labeled a “university support and eligibility agreement.” Some knew that Mr. Rowan was helping to drive the document as others speculated about its origins. And just about all of them were left to wonder whether the document would become a blueprint for the Trump administration.

What emerged from the government on Wednesday closely resembled the Rowan group’s wintertime document.

Crucial portions of the government’s proposal this week are repeated verbatim from the draft document. The two documents, for example, stipulate that “all monies advanced by the U.S. government during the year of any violation shall be returned to the U.S. government.”

With deportation continuing apace amid the federal government shutdown, advocates speculated that the latest scheme to pay off immigrant children was deliberately timed by ICE and its parent agency, the Department of Homeland Security, to minimize public attention.
