Day 16 of new cats, Shadow the Ultimate Lifeform and Lily are pretty comfortable with the house and hanging out outside of the bedroom safe spot. They're still very jumpy around people but they're getting better. They want belly rubs so much. And they get serious air time when hunting their toys.

Reminder to cis people that anti trans legislation can and will also hurt you, if you’re not already motivated to care about trans rights. We need stronger state level privacy laws around medical records in a post-Roe world for abortion rights, too.

Bazzite is totally fine, especially if it's for a gaming-only system. If you want to become a Person Who Fucks Around With Linux Shit then I would send you to Arch Linux but it is absolutely not necessary for a good time with games on Linux.

In my experience, often times the performance is actually a little better on Linux because Windows' thread scheduler is ass, which leads to micro-stutters and frame pacing problems.

I have not booted into Windows to play a game in probably two years. There are a handful of competitive online games that have anti-cheat problems but by-and-large this is now a solved problem.

Sora is not the real problem here. The real problem is that in 12, at most 24 months, there will be a Sora clone from Tencent or Alibaba that is just as good and can be run by anybody with a 5099, at which point everyone in society needs to rapidly agree to treat all digital video as fake, period.

There's a lot of critiques you can make about the show but it's generally good as political fiction goes.

But there's a cohort of extremely online lefties who have made the performance of hating it their entire personality. And I'm glad they self-select into a group you can just comfortably ignore.
