A US early-warning radar of one sort or another has been on Greenland for nearly 70 years—without the need for US sovereignty. Greenland is also covered by Article Five & US could protect it v Russia or China. Conflating Greenland's military importance with the issue of US ownership is dishonest.

Note that the Mayor of Minneapolis made his statement surrounded by police chiefs. As we said in New York, regardless of their politics no serving police officer wants any part of this. It makes everything they do more difficult and ends up putting them in danger.

NEWS: Colin and Sophie Hortman, the children of Mark and Melissa Hortman, released statements after Trump reposted false claims about their parents’ deaths. Sophie Hortman urged Trump to remove the post, saying, “I ask President Trump to please consider the pain and sadness we have faced.”

It is. Rodríguez clearly made a deal to give up Maduro. Oil is the price. However they bet that Trump will stick to the price and not try to turn them into a banana republic. We know how that will likely go, so then you have potential instability in the street. And who will have to put that down?
