The Trump Administration Accidentally Texted Me Its War Plans
U.S. national-security leaders included me in a group chat about upcoming military strikes in Yemen. I didn’t think it could be real. Then the bombs started falling.

The rush to destroy things like USAID and other agencies before lawsuits can stop them is to make it moot. When our stupidly slow judicial system finally moves to stop them it will be far too late. If all 10,000 USAID employees are home and projects abandoned it’s done. It’s evil.

My therapist recently recommended the Feminist Survival Project podcast. I thought everyone could use the ideas in the episode, given the insanity of the world right now.

People on TikTok are reporting ICE raids happening in small cities in various states.

To get past algorithmic censorship, they’re writing down the information on paper and holding up and shuffling through the handwritten signs as they talk about pretend subjects like shopping, food, and animals.

I love this so much!

At the inauguration, Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson wore a distinctive collar adorned with cowrie shells, which are believed to offer protection from evil in African traditions.

This choice mirrors the late Justice Ginsburg’s practice of using collars to convey a message.

Gov. Brian Kemp wants to run for the U.S. Senate, and possibly the presidency. When he does, people like me will remind the public that a murder epidemic in state prisons emerged on his watch with little action. At least, until now.

The $372 million ask for fixes is a start.

Kemp Finally Gets the Prison Problem
Enough dead bodies have piled up on the governor's watch for him to spend money on a problem that wins no one votes for solving.

Thanks to everyone who pointed to the crucial sentences: Catastrophic fire erases what was there before. So does forgetting. Memory is a resource for facing the future; it’s equipment for imagining, planning, preparing.

Ending on time is a feminist act.
This came up at a conference I was at on Friday, and I was curious if other think about this similarly.

I view keeping to my assigned time in presentations as an embodiment of my feminist values at work. There is a set amount of total time and going over takes time away from ~someone~ else.
