I see pieces like this a lot, often w/ a spin of lamenting cultural degeneration, but reading is a LABOR issue, it’s declined because so many people are working overtime or two jobs & employers expect after hours work. France has Earth’s highest reading rate b/c long lunch breaks & labor protections

It also is a pretty clear signal that the probe is going to take the entire season, and that Adam Silver wants people to forget all about it and focus on basketball. Which shows he is living in an alternate reality. Which, again, sad. This is not how you do crisis PR.

The player drafted by the Red Sox ONE pick ahead of Cam Schlittler in 2022's 7th round was a Texas kid who went to college in Texas. He had a 5.74 ERA in his second crack at Double-A this season.

There are so few legit local kids who are draftable, and Chaim took a kid from Texas. Great job by him.
