A comment on itch reminded me of this idea for creating #TTRPG dungeons I had a while back. I still think its neat and I don't think I've actually shared it here on bsky.

So bsky.. meet Crossword Dungeons!
Do a crossword, use the answers and designs as inspiration for the rooms, get creative!

For our #WeekOfWorldbuilding, the first poll results are in! As such, I'm going to settle on sentient humanoid history as having been developing for approximately 3,000 years now.

With 3 major events, that would put at least 1 major event every 1,000 years - with minor events sprinkled between.
Poll results are in!

Winning with 7 votes, our sentient civilization is anywhere between 1,001 and 10,000 years old. As a result, we're going to have 3 major events, and 6 minor events, throughout the course of history so far.

In this arid place, life exists among squat thorny bushes and dry grasses poking up out of sand and loose gravel.

What life defines our eastern desert? Poll ends in one hour.

The supplement that got me into UOP's stuff. Nice addition to any spooky 5e cabinet.
From now until Monday, grab our 5e-compatible Under the Harvest Moons for only $6.99!

This 50-page #dnd sourcebook is packed with archetypes, creatures, creepy rules options, and tons of original lore that PCs and GMs can use to flesh out and spook up their horror games.

We continue our #WeekofWorldbuilding with a look at Theology. How the universe came into existence should have already set you on the path toward what comes next, so let's codify that a bit.

But for anyone who's forgotten already, a primer on what we're working with from Cosmology yesterday.

Everybody loves random tables :D
After the positive feedback for my random table last week, I decided to stick with this for a while. So here is another random table, this week for Underdark Story Hooks.

Join the fun with the Runic Press crew!

Not to be confused with the Runic Press gang.
We have our winner! "Cosmic Struggle" origin takes it with 8 votes. Now...let's examine what that means.

Not all creation myths speak of harmony or careful design. Some tell of wars so vast that stars were kindling and planets no more than collateral. 1/?

More wisdom from AB!

This is something I've encountered at the day job. Every platform has different requirements and that's just online. Print goes even wilder, then there's embroidery...

Make vector versions while you're at it, they're as close to universal as I've come so far.
Being brand ready means knowing that you'll need to be present in a number of spaces that have various restrictions on the imagery present.

This is why I always recommend a branding spray sheet where you present your brand identity ready for multiple formats, like this:

Continuing my handy guide to help new players, today we tackle genre jargon!

Eldritch Horror: the terrible implications of leaving your dishes in the sink a little too long.

High Fantasy: 🍀💨
Working on a helpful #ttrpg glossary to ease new players into the hobbys's vocab.

OSR - Old School Runescape
BBEG - Best Benevolent Egalitarian Guy/Gal
TTRPG - TurboThot Roleplaying Game

Help filling in any terms I missed appreciated! #baddnd

my mom taught me there's two kinds of businesses: hot dog stands and art galleries

- hot dog stands protect territory and keep competition off their turf
- art galleries benefit from more adjacent art galleries, cluster together to amplify reach/support

youre an art gallery, not a hot dog stand
Play and discuss as if you were friends trying to get to know each other better, rather than as if you were rival squawking merchants trying to sell competing goods in a marketplace. The world is full of friends and potential friends, and it's much lonelier and more frightening when it isn't.
