Politics affects everything.

“Shouldn’t be politicised” = “it would be convenient for me if you don’t talk about this. *I’ll* define ‘civility’ & ‘decency’ & accuse you of having neither in hopes of embarrassing you into shutting up”
Labour councillor thinks that the murder of a woman - with plans that political parties in the UK are specifically looking to emulate - shouldn't be political.

Labour have no intention in every challenging the far right - which is why they'll be next to follow unless we stand up to them.
How low can Polanski go? Weaponising the killing of the mother of a 6 year old girl, that’s how low.

Leadership clearly isn’t a Green Party strong point.

So must all those who choose to protect him.

What's the point of the Labour Party?

Every single time Starmer gets an opportunity to do the right thing he bottles it

He lied to win party leadership and lied to win the election

Now he won't even condemn an act of naked terrorist aggression by USA!

Starmer and Farage both drape themselves in flags but once again it's really clear where their loyalty really is.

It's Trump first. They will always be on the side of the super rich and powerful - no matter how heinous the crime.

This is not patriotism. It's subservience.

Fuck everyone who has ever supported this semi-sentient glob of congealed self-tanner.

You did this. The blood of Venezuelan civilians and American service members is on your hands.

I hope that haunts you for the rest of your life.

I know it won't. But I hope it does.

To achieve trans rights, we must first have gender equality. Since gender equality is a prerequisite, trans rights affirms - not weakens - gender equality.

So why would self-described feminists seek to destroy trans rights?

Special rights for women, perhaps?
I started off believing there were genuine conflicts between women's and trans rights but the more I have thought about and worked on the issue the more I have turned away from that belief. I now believe trans rights support at least as much as - indeed more than - they conflict with women's rights

In my view these shocking numbers for homophobia and transphobia amongst Labour voters are, to a large extent the responsibility of the leadership of LGBT Labour over the last 5-6 years. There are a number of reasons why the LGBT Labour exec needs to be held accountable…

1. This is terrible.
2. This is such a BS claim from a university: “We are committed to teaching students how to think, not what to think.” No! We do, in fact, commit to teaching you what to think. You sign up for a psych course, you have to learn psychology. You can ignore it later if you choose.

If you think this is about free speech - rather than a wilful goading by money and power of a screwed over minority - just ask yourself how the media would cover this story if Alice Sullivan was an anti-semite and these were Jewish students rightly protesting at her being invited onto their campus.
Total gaslighting. Anti-trans activist; chooses to speak in person, provoking students who want to protect trans rights; they exercise their freedom of speech to tell her she isn't wanted; she gets to speak anyway; the BBC dutifully platforms her again; and now she threatens to sue everyone.

In medicine, prevention is better than cure.

In politics, prevention is better than conflict.

In justice, prevention is better than incarceration.

Why would any rational, compassionate person even consider the disastrous second option when they could easily pick the first?
This is the second story in three days The Times has carried arguing against misogyny lessons in schools, which it describes as "some weird feminist attack on male children".

RefUK now UK's largest party after Starmer's pandering to the far right drives tens of thousands of Labour members to find hope with @zackpolanski.bsky.social's Greens.
Also unquestioningly repeating this line, despite people who sign up to Reform not having to confirm they are UK citizens, as is required for membership to other parties…..

Not speaking to Green party policies per se, but legalising drugs is not a bad idea and anyone arguing it means "selling them outside schools" is plainly disingenuous. Prohibition doesn't work. Regulating, and taxing, them like cigs and alcohol means better safeguards, and more money for treatment.
