I figure Ken Burns has one, maybe two big documentary series in him before he fully retires. What do you think they should be? My votes include Football, Hip-Hop, World War 1, Reconstruction (though Skip Gates did this one well), Iraq/Afghanistan, 19th Century Expansionism.

Tonight is probably my favorite night of the season with the band. They come in from the stadium to be met with a platter of full-sized candy bars. Everybody got at least one, and they all were SO HAPPY. Even the seniors that have seen this for several years just light up

This is *not* a small gesture. 1-the unis are BITTER rivals. 2-it is a ~2 hour drive between w/no traffic. 3-IU is a large campus, you're talking a box truck of papers. 4-And put out their own paper

I've worked with the marching band at my kids' HS for 11 years now, mostly as a roadie or with uniforms. Last Winterguard season, I was asked to be an assistant just because they needed a 2nd adult. Things happened, and now I'm the lead coach.
Note-I did not do guard at any point in my life. (1/x)
