Showing up and being loud outside of hotels where ICE agents are trying to sleep has been a really effective form of action!

2025 knitting round up: final project of 2025, some half finger gloves for a friend. I designed the chart for the colourwork myself and will likely throw it up for free on ravelry once I fix a mistake (RiotKat). I adapted the glove pattern by Dawn Kinsey (www.ravelry.com/patterns/lib...)

2025 Knitting round up: widows web shawl by April Carter (www.ravelry.com/patterns/lib...) overall I enjoyed making this shawl and the final product. I put a full pattern review on ravelry. My favourite thing is that's it's huge but its light enough to wrap up to be a nice scarf. #knitsky

2025 Knitting round up: this was truly a year of socks. All of these were made using Voolenvine Faborite Sock pattern (www.voolenvineyarns.com/products/fav...)
For 2026 I want to master two at a time socks, cabling/lace socks, and fine tune my toe up socks.

The more you know: if you can see the whites of a moose's eyes, you need to gtfo. Unlike bears they only see you as a predator (never prey), so running from them or increasing distance slowly and leaving is the safe way to handle this situation. Filming and scaring them by talking is not.

My Amphibian Man is done! Just gotta wait a little longer for him to dry completely before I put him back in the hoop. My favorite part is the soak. Somehow, embroidery looks so good in cloudy water #theshapeofwater @realgdt.bsky.social

I was at a local bookstore today (totallybookish.com in Mission, BC), and the clerk was saying most of her work day is people calling and asking for books she can't get because they are Amazon exclusive. Do the authors have any say in this, or is this a publisher move? #booksky @booksky.club
