Asteroid collisions spotted around another star!

Twice over the past two decades, the Hubble telescope saw new dust clouds around the star Fomalhaut. They're probably places where large rocks crashed into each other in a young, forming planetary system. 🧪🔭

How can we tell what's inside an #exoplanet? @timlichtenberg.bsky.social et al review how a planet's atmosphere interacts with its interior. Atmospheric observations can distinguish between lava worlds, water worlds, temperate surfaces or supercritical interiors. ☄️

Fucking amazing!
While we still don't have definitive proof that there was water-based life on Mars billions of years ago, the latest findings are certainly promising.
Has Perseverance found a biosignature on Mars?
Interpreting the data is tricky because other non-biological processes could account for the findings.

I am 76 & I have had most of these vaccinations at one time or another. Also vaccinations against Covid, Tetanus, plus Cholera & Yellow Fever when travelling in foreign countries.
These prevented me catching horrible diseases & dying a gruesome death. They did not harm me, they protected me!

Lightweight aircraft could explore Earth’s poorly understood “ignorosphere.”
Sunlight is all that’s needed to keep these tiny aircraft aloft
Sun-powered fliers could use photophoretic forces to hover in the mesosphere, gathering data from a region off limits to planes and balloons.
