Hey look at that! They gave Trump an award inspired by the hands of Nazis scratching Hitler’s ball! 👏👏👏

Best Christmas countdown. Larry does this every year and as an owner of (slave to?) a cat, I always imagine this is how our Tiggs would have written it.
On the first day of Christmas my true love gave to me, a partridge in a pear tree. Ate it.

Suffered the same fate, so I'm on the lookout for work. In my 6+ years at Forbes I covered EPL, especially Liverpool, Everton and Man City, international tournaments, and US soccer including lower leagues. I'm uniquely placed ahead of 2026 World Cup given my reporting history and areas of expertise.
Personal news. I will no longer write about German football for @forbes.com. More below 👇

The usurped family were not of English origin. Plenty of people in the restaurant were not as well, including an Asian family sat on the next table, who left shortly after.

It's increasingly apparent now that racists feel emboldened to be openly racist. Cheers, Nigel. What a country this now is.

Was in McDonald's in Liverpool yesterday for lunch with the family and an argument broke out on another table - one family took someone else's table whilst they were at the toilet.

Long story short, it ended with the father of the table-taking family shouting, "it's our country not yours".

My final gig of 2025 is this Thursday at King’s Hall in Herne Bay, again with the brilliant Catenary Wires.

This time, we’re also joined by young, up and coming indie popsters, Swansea Sound.

WARNING: may contain the occasional Christmas poem and song.

A big, big thanks to Glasgow last night for a fab evening. Tonight, we’re heading to Newcastle for our antepenultimate gig of the tour.

Not many tickets left for that or for Pocklington on Friday. We’re also in Herne Bay on 4 December. More info here: brianbilston.com/events/

1/5 It was entirely predictable that The Telegraph would jump on @DavidOlusoga’s Empire series to fight its right wing culture war for control of our public history. Let’s see what they’ve done:

I wish I didn’t have to share this. But the BBC has decided to censor my first Reith Lecture.

They deleted the line in which I describe Donald Trump as “the most openly corrupt president in American history.” /1

I have yet to meet a Chinese mother who thinks “Western permissive ways” are superior to Chinese tiger mum parenting. If they were spying on American mums, you can be sure they are all sniggering at your incompetence. 😂😂😂
HINSON: As a mom, I think about watching a baby monitor. That's a very intimate moment with your baby and to think the Chinese could be spying on your morning routine

BARTIROMO: Why are they spying on moms?

HINSON: They just want to know what Americans are up to to undermine our way of life

I took a mouthful of tea just before the third Scotland goal. I thought I showed remarkable self control not to

a) swallow it down the wrong way and/or
b) spit it all out on our relatively new carpet

as I banged my fist on the armchair to celebrate. 😁🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿⚽️ #Scotland
