As a nation we had the conversation all the way back in 1804. Further, it was reinforced in 1946 as part of Nuremberg where it was revealed we had actually attacked a U-boat that was trying to rescue survivors, to include allies. The whole thing is rotten.

IF they were armed and firing back, once they have abandoned ship and are trying to survive, it becomes a war crime to target them. This dates back to WWI with German U-boat crews firing on life boats. Further in US specific naval law Little vs. Barr erne, 1804, removes ignorance of law.

Folks, don't come on my posts with, "Well you should do....some noble cause that costs money...." Not all of us have the money to do the things. Not all of us live in areas where we can even realistically do some things. The purity test BS is how people get disillusioned.
