We’re approaching the 40th anniversary of this spectacular bit of TV, an intro sequence to Wogan’s chat show. If anyone ever says that the 1980s were shit, just shake your head, smile condescendingly and play them this

Where are all the "revoke Shamima Begum's citizenship she's a traitor people" today, I wonder.
Nathan Gill; A traitor who was at the very top of Reform UK, aiding and abetting Russian adversaries, has been sentenced today.

Reform UK should be ashamed. Britain deserves better.

While other organisations brush off minor mistakes, the BBC spends days self-flagellating like a mentally-disturbed medieval monk - but only if the criticisms have come from the right. They literally couldn't give a toss if they're being attacked from the centre or left.

Voting against Restore Trust in the annual NT elections is becoming a pleasant annual tradition, like Guy Fawkes Night. We should commemorate it.
🌳 As a #NationalTrust member I’ve just voted for the recommended slate to keep out the bogus, right-wing entryists of “Restore Trust”. Anything this creep wants is bad for Britain and bad for our heritage.
🌳 If you’re a member, vote Recommended Slate now: www.nationaltrust.org.uk/who-we-are/a...
One vital reason to vote in the National Trust elections and for the NT endorsed candidates. We can't risk the Restore Trust candidates getting any influence on it.

I think this is a tragedy for the CofE. It means they are still a long way from where the country of which it proclaims it is the national church is on gay marriage. How should gay people, or those of us who have gay friends or family members, think of an institution which doesn't respect them?
