Went to see @jamesyorkston.bsky.social play last night and he was on exquisite form. A fine selection of songs from his entire back catalogue, a beautiful piano version of St. Patrick, and maybe the first time I've seen Woozy With Cider played live. Stories and sublime guitar playing throughout.

Finished reading @horatioclare.bsky.social We Came By Sea this morning. As beautifully & thoughtfully written as all his other books. At times saddening and rage inducing and feelings of helplessness but ultimately optimistic and hopeful and wanting to do something more.

Went to see Pete Fij last night at the Albert. A couple of technical glitches it was very good and suitably fuzzy. Lots of new stuff and a couple of Adorable bits. There was a new song maybe about views from trains with some lovely imagery in the lyrics.

The first half of the first CD of this is taking me back to the mid-late 80s & being turned onto James by one of the cool kids that I worked alongside on the after school evening shift at Camberley Sainos

Up in the big smoke (drizzle) yesterday to see the Tortoise matinee show at the Barbican. They were very good and there was time for pint afterwards and still home before 7. I'm only going to afternoon shows in London from now on. None of that it's gonna take three hours last train home nonsense.

Hammingden.
Chilling (Street).

Some favourite Sussex lanes looking mighty fine in the slanting autumn sunlight.

Stopped to have a look in All Saints Church in Highbrook which is a beauty, added to the 'zine list.

The ten Felt albums are available on Bandcamp.

For those following the saga of Lawrence messing with his back catalogue, "Ignite the seven cannons" is the remix while "The Pictorial Jackson Review" reverts to the original track listing of eight songs and two instrumentals.
