Part of my plans for this new year is to grow past some of the things that happened in my childhood. This requires knowing how I've been hurt and the pain I was living with. To sum it up I came up with this line. "The scars ached less when I thought they were birthmarks"

Coming to terms with so many new feelings has been a wonderful experience in my queer awakening. It's a slight shame to be a trans bi animal who was raised as a cis straight human. But life is too beautiful for the past to keep me down

I was thinking about instinctual biases this morning while working, it's hard sometimes when you're raised to think in harmful or degrading ways, so we must fight our instincts. Instincts keep animals safe but they don't help with delicate social interaction.
