Sooo, back in July I had back-to-back surgeries on my eyes to resolve sight loss in the right one.

I had been messed about at multiple points (one with my previous optician which I can’t talk about) but long story short I had severe sight loss for the better part of two years.

Conservative MP Mel Stride claims PIP benefit is thousands of pounds per month.

No it is an absolute maximum of £720 a month, and most people only get £250 or less.

Meanwhile he claims £1,250 a month in rent on his expenses

I like this for many reasons not least because it says

Fix social care!

Seriously. Otherwise council services and the NHS will continue to have problems they cannot easily overcome. Nothing gets fixed until social care gets fixed
Last summer, in response to a reader question, we set out four Ps that the government should watch over the course of the parliament. How are they going? (Not great, Bob!)
Four priorities standing in Labour’s path to re-election
These are fundamental to restoring confidence that government can do the basics

BBC Question Time.

Stuck to his principles and never shrank from saying what needed to be said.

Zack was himself under extreme pressure and I've never been more proud to be a Green.

Where's my rosette at?

Been saying this awhile as a once amateur/could-have-been-pro paintball player: loose fabric always decelerates paintballs. Think of the throw-an-egg-at-a-bedsheet physics test. Inflatables work even better. If you know you're going to "play paintball," WEAR LOOSE, BAGGY CLOTHES. Or an inflatable🐸😅
had never before considered that the inflatable costumes offer pepper ball protection

This was then scrapped citing the Manchester synagogue attack. Polanski is both Jewish and from Manchester

ICE admits that up to 50% of arrests in its Chicago raids are "collateral.” These aren't statistics. They are parents taken from their children, neighbors taken from our communities. When does a "collateral" U.S. citizen child's trauma matter? This isn't law enforcement; it's a campaign of terror.

Let's be clear: this is the result of deliberate political choices to make accessing trans healthcare substantially impossible. It's what Streeting and his ilk want.
In Glasgow, there is a 224-year waiting list for gender clinic appointments.

224 YEARS.

This is institutionalised discrimination. It's unacceptable, it's ruining people's lives and it needs to change.

We have the solution. Time for politicians to act.

Zack Polanski’s response to the Manchester terror attack has been a masterclass in mature statesmanship.

Soulful, human, eloquent, empathetic, nuanced, confident and focused on healing.

And bold. It has shone in contrast to so much weaponising or ill thought through commentary.

Thank you Zack. 💪

Average real wage of UK workers is stuck the 2008 level.

Some bosses are collecting 1,112 times more than the average employee wage. Millions forced to rely on food banks and charity.

Workers have no say in income distribution. Govts do nothing.

Can't build economy/society on huge inequalities.
The government must ensure fair distribution of income

The constant drip drip of opinion pieces on how Reform will win an election that’s years away is getting a tiresome

What we aren’t seeing is the media asking the serious questions?

Who funded the purchase in Clacton?
How deep did Russian bribery go?
Why our so many Reform donors tax exile’s?
'Many seats may turn on whether progressive fear of Farage outweighs disappointment with Starmer'
