The hepatitis B vaccine had been recommended for all newborns since 1991.

From 1990-2019, acute hepatitis B infections reported among children and teens fell 99 percent. www.nytimes.com/2025/09/16/w...
Breaking: After contentious debates and three failed attempts at a vote, a federal vaccine committee decided on Friday to end the decades-long recommendation that all newborns be immunized at birth against hepatitis B.

This is a trick question, because my answer would have been "Privateer"

(And, yes, I did "pre-order" Star Citizen in 2014, an investment that will pay off any day now.)
I would like to know! 🤓👾

You're telling me I'm going to have to read the Cavalier Daily to figure this story out.

The Cavalier Daily.
"The Cavalier Daily corresponded with former Rector Robert Hardie, whose term ended June 30, regarding the two accounts. He confirmed that he agreed with Ryan’s account.

'I concur fully with President Ryan’s recollection of events,' Hardie said."

Welp

Kristi Noem: "No American citizens have been arrested or detained. We focus on those who are here illegally. And anything you would hear or report that would be different than that is simply not true and false reporting."

This is a good read. It is framed more as "the hype is bad" (which is true) and is pretty gentle to "the backlash is also not great" (which is also true)

But I do think it captures the frustration engineers have seeing bad AI uses, saying they're bad, then having their bosses immediately tout them
Okay, for the folks who asked: here's the majority AI view, writing up the reasonable, thoughtful view on AI that the vast majority of people in tech hold, that gets overshadowed by the bluster and hype of the tycoons trying to shill their nonsense. anildash.com/2025/10/17/t... Please share!

You know how reveal.js has "vertical slides" that let you put alternate or in-depth slides "below" the current slide in the deck?

I want that for browser tabs, and then a directive that puts new tabs spawning from the current tab "below" rather that in the top-level list of tabs.
