nothing quite like coming out to your father’s side of the family. if i didn’t feel the need to come out, i wouldn’t have. i would’ve just left them under the assumption that i’m straight, but the cards didn’t have that in store for me.

my father’s side of the family is coming over on tuesday, so i made some pies for the festivities. it’s a fruit pie (blackberries and blueberries puréed for the filling), with raspberries, blackberries, and blueberries coated with jam for the topping.

Since we're writing the last book on our current contract right now, I was just thinking about how if we pitch another duology they would be coming out in 2026 and 2027 and those dates feel fake, those are like science-fiction dates, those are the dates that the workers on Mars go on strike.
