I'm seriously contemplating that drone bombings on East Coast Cities would quickly be spun into a terrorist attack, martial law, emergency powers, and "we gotta get all the illegals out from within our borders."
David Hogg

I believe Hogg should focus on getting out the vote. I find he's acting like a king maker, before he proves he can get 1 candidate across the finish line by a huge margin. He's turning arrogant and didn't ask me if I want my Democratic representatives primaried.

an important and smart move from Harvard.

law firms and universities caving to Trump have exercised horrible judgement.

Absolutely Not. He has nothing of a redeeming quality to want him to continue in his job. He should do something honorable and retire for the good of the country.
The point of driving the feckless among Senate Ds into retirement isn’t really about a 6-mo CR. That’s a proxy fight—standing in for the Q of whether our senators have the ruthlessness that a durable restoration of constitutional governance will require.

Do we really think Schumer has such courage?

I think Schumer needs to *go* and Schatz flipping around sucks (h/t to Marshall though, guy was right, hope he gets some sleep now), but as I said yesterday: five years from now we probably aren't in a materially different place based on the outcome of this CR; it's probably a good idea to breathe

They have no relationship with Honor or anything approaching values.
Segregation had only been outlawed for four years when Rogers mounted his defense as a lieutenant colonel. In other words, he nearly sacrificed his life for a country that had him serve most of his career as a second-class citizen. And these fascists have the nerve to call it a "DEI Medal of Honor."

Before October 7th, Palestinian children were being used for target practice. The genocide has been taking place all along and well before October 7th.
"It's not genocide if you were provoked" has been the Israeli/AIPAC argument since October 7. This was later adopted by most Republicans and many Democrats. There is no legal or historical precedent for it. The "provocation exception" doesn't exist.

Abhorrent to see this from Schumer.
The Senate Democratic leader says it can’t be genocide if you were “provoked.”

That is just a stunning thing to believe let alone say on the record.

He's always had conman written all over himself -- JMHO.
Nine years ago, Musk was predicting passenger trips to Mars in 2024. He's always been a successful con-man because there's an endless supply of gullible rules eager to believe him.

Make no mistake, Trump not only wants no alliance with Ukraine but is now actively working to undermine its government and therefore its war effort.

He is in league with Vladimir Putin in every way that matters.

I've been thinking a lot about that bumper sticker which says "everything looks like a conspiracy theory when you don't understand how anything works" and folks it's pretty obvious to me that the people in power right now have absolutely no desire to understand how anything works.

How does this dude have more money than God, & can't get a decent haircut? Is it bc he's afraid to go out in public for fear that we've had enough of his shit and will beat his ass? At the very least I'd have a barber come to my quarters in the Eisenhower Executive Building & give it a proper trim.

It took seeing adult bullies to understand that my childhood bullies didn’t even really want to hurt me, they just wanted to feel powerful and how I felt about it wasn’t even in the equation.

I can’t imagine someone not outgrowing that, but apparently it happens quite a lot!

I heard my friend Dan here give a remarkable brief talk about this last month. Thankfully, he’s written it up at length to share.
In light of everything happening, I wrote about how the KKK in the 1920s felt unstoppable, about the people that fought against them anyway, and about how fascism always fails. dansinker.com/posts/202…
