I had a 5 page paper due at 1 and hadn't started at 8:30 but had no morning classes, so I sat in my dorm room with music playing and my computer unplugged from the internet and totally missed all the news about 9/11 until I emerged and someone had scribbled it on a whiteboard in the hall.
I wrote a 15 page report on heraldic symbolism in medieval armor and weapon design for my art history class the night before it was due (8am class). Made up 90% of it (only found one book for reference) and got an A. GenAI could fucking never.

My hot take is that The Life of a Showgirl isn't a fall album, and I didn't know albums have seasons. It's spring/summer. It sounds like it wants to be played outside while dancing, not curled up in a cardigan with a hot drink.

I am feeling particularly moody about this, but I am starting to think that maybe Blue Bikes around colleges are a mistake. Take them away. Make sure kids know that bikes aren't allowed to go the wrong way down one way streets through red lights and crosswalks and nearly hit pedestrians.
