In my youth as a fledgling writer-type, I used to thinkandthinkandthink before tornado-ing a first draft that I'd copy edit for typos. Then, I had the hubris to send it off to lit mags, thinking it was a complete work. How silly our younger selves can be, amirite? #amwriting #amediting
