The entire American system of intelligence collection, rapid deployment, and logistics relies on the order the US and its allies created after 1945.

No amount of additional military spending could ever match what our existing investments already provide.

It’s an act of national suicide.
Today would be a great day for CNAS, CSIS, Brookings, Atlantic Council, RAND, IDA, CNA, & every veterans’ advocacy group to say an attack on NATO over Greenland would be a crime under US and international law and it would shatter American military capacity for generations.

They won’t say a word.

I hope they punch us in the fucking face.
Last summer, the EU (the Commission) was held back from retaliating by weak member states. The Commission is likely going to be unleashed now. And they have been doing a lot of thinking about how to retaliate. The question is how far are they willing to go. 3/

The Trump Admin continues to lie about ICE's killing of a 37-year-old mom — claiming she engaged in ‘domestic terrorism.”

They have given ICE a massive budget and allowed them to act with impunity.

I cannot & will NOT support any funding for Trump’s ICE’s operations.

Look outside tonight. In a few more days the Moon will be waning half full. It's quite possible that *next* time it's waning half, in February, when you look at up at it there will also be four humans in a tiny spacecraft passing next to it. #artemisII
whoa, wait.

This really snuck up on me (in my head, there was waaaaay longer space between now and this event).

But #ArtemisII launch date is scheduled for a month from now?

I thought this was pushed forward ....

Even any point in this year feels like it snuck up on me!

This person went on a buying spree over the past 24 hours. Fresh wallet. Only existed since Dec 27th and has only bet on Venezuela-related markets.

Thread on recent developments in Yemen.
🚨 A renewed large-scale war may happen in Yemen. Not related to the now worldwide popular Houthis but pitting the internationally recognised Saudi-backed Presidential Leadership Council (controlling areas in green in the map) against the UAE-backed and separatist Southern Transitional Council.

Detainees, often with no criminal record, were subjected to what is unambiguously torture at Ron DeSantis' so-called "Alligator Alcatraz" in Florida. There need to be criminal prosecutions
They're using the confinement box, one of the most horrific methods of CIA torture in the post-9/11 black sites, against migrants now. This is the direct result of the lack of consequences for the architects of the torture program. Either there will be criminal penalties for this or it will expand.
Torture Techniques from CIA Black Sites Were Used at Alligator Alcatraz
Amnesty International, interviewing migrant detainees, identifies use of the confinement box. There can be no denying it is a torture prison
