just saying: it's possible that "I'm gonna dramatically constrict my state capacity while plotting dramatic imperial expansion, and expanding my set of internal enemies while alienating most of my foreign allies" is the beginning of a world-historical masterstroke. but also possible that it isn't

It is an abomination: our own government not trying to restore order but destroy it. Federal leaders actively trying to instill terror in their citizenry. The historical analogue is nighttime raids on black communities by white supremacist terrorists in the South. They’re Cossacks, they’re the Klan

All power of armed government organizations should be derived via the consent of elected officials. They should never be able to generate their own political power unilaterally.

We run the military this way and armed law enforcement agencies should be no different.

Armed agents of the state should not be allowed to unionize. Period.
I think a useful thing for Democratic state legislatures to think about is abolishing police unions
Thank you for telling us you neither serve nor protect. Thank you for saying the quiet part out loud. That was state murder in broad daylight, captured from multiple angles by multiple witnesses, and the people of Minneapolis have eyes.

You support murder.

Analysis | Joe Biden would not have invaded NATO allies, cut off child welfare, or sent armed forces to kill Americans. But he would have given very few press conferences and spoken in a halting voice. The voters got it right.

/12 If you think it is obvious that the videos prove murder and nobody can say otherwise, your view is based on how you want the system to be, not how it is. It will be brutally hard, fighting inch by inch against what America is, to convict Jonathan Ross. Your feelings don’t enter into it.

FYI you yelling YOU MUST WATCH to any form of murder video or any violence to total strangers is a sign of your mental health deteriorating. We do not have to subject ourselves to trauma porn. Watching innocent people die on repeat will give you PTSD. Log off and call your therapist.

I appreciate Chris Hayes' righteous anger about *looks around* everything happening, but I'm old enough to remember when he was telling people Trump was to the left of Hillary in 2016, and constantly having Bernie Sanders on his show to say both parties are the same/corrupt.

The situation in Minneapolis is insane: seemingly many large convoys of heavily armed masked men, blocking off streets at random, grabbing people nearly at random, racing around the city with no discernible plan or aim. Under attack by our own government the day after it killed someone

JD Vance supports murdering American citizens. He's made that perfectly clear today. If he's willing to defend the murder of Renee Good, he would defend your murder, too.
JD Vance accuses the slain Renee Good of perpetrating "an attack on federal law enforcement, an attack on law and order, and attack on the American people"

"That woman was there to interfere with a legitimate law enforcement operation," he adds, repeatedly referring to her as "that woman"

Using imagery online of the shooting by an ICE agent in Minneapolis, we’ve created an animated sequence which highlights the approximate positioning of officers and vehicles at the scene. The red dot represents the agent who fired the shots. Yellow dots are other agents who arrived at the scene.

Fascists love anarchists, both the fake sort as "libertarians" who have in mind laws relative to economic values they want to protect from voters, democracy, and the real sort, the utopian anarchists, who spin fantastical tales built only on gas and wind. I suppose fascists likely fund much of it.
