Restoring democracy looks like the governor of a state refusing to sign legislation passed by the people elected to represent the citizens of that state because he’s concerned about the optics in other states when he eventually runs for an office that he has not currently been elected to.

Hi, I'm a trans Californian who reported on the CA bills. This headline is misleading at best. You haven't noted that he has until the 12th to sign the other bills, leaving that out is irresponsible and fearmongers.

People can and should still pressure him on those bills.
