You gotta admit it's really funny that Trump is cognitively at about the level of a lower beast in one of Aesop's fables.
WH sources say Venezuela's opposition leader committed the "ultimate sin": She accepted the Nobel Peace prize.

“If she had turned it down and said, ‘I can’t accept it because it’s Donald Trump’s,’ she’d be the president of Venezuela today,” one said.

I think one nice thing about winter is that if you can still feel the warmth from the sun if you are inside by a window.

First day of new job today! I hope a bigger boy doesn't pick on me!

I think cheques would have survived as a viable method of payment for way longer if they didn't make you do that stupid think of having to write out the number's full name.

My plan for world peace is that every nation in the world needs to dedicate 5% of its GDP toward military aid to Mexico.

That tweet from Bukele is so funny. SURELY he knows he's a dead man the moment there's ever another Democrat in the White House. Surely he's not stupid enough to think he's in the class of people who are immune from consequences??
Gallego has been posting about Trump's war with Venezuala.

Can't remember if I've ever listed by preferred Star Trek Voyager ships on here, but, for the record:
Janeway / Tuvok
Harry / B'Elanna
Tom / Seven
Chakotay / an early grave

I think an important thing to realise is that with only a couple of exceptions, every head of state in the world knows that the US can ultimately do what they've just done to Maduro to them. This is why it boils my piss whenever there's any mention of America having "allies". It's a reign of terror.

So much of American history is just impulsive and extremely stupid elites, who don't believe in consequences because they have never personally experienced them, doing highly consequential stuff because they're bored or believe it might make them richer. I guess a lot of our culture, too.

If nothing else, it might be fun to see Bob Picardo in the new Star Trek thing.

We've entered a feedback loop of getting pissed off at politics.

lol what can you really say at this point
Keir Starmer explicitly backs Trump's attack on Venezuela.

Says he has "long supported" getting rid of Maduro, who is an "illegitimate President" and "we shed no tears about the end of his regime".

Imagine how cool it must have been to be a master clockmaker in, like, 19th century Vienna.

Everyone who has a horse wanks off that horse. This is the thing that horse people will kill to keep secret.

Pluribus thought: I think the hive mind has to be lying about not being able to lie, just on the basis that I don't see how the early stages of their spread would have been possible without deliberate bald-faced dishonesty.

The way the press is treating chatbots, like they have agency and they “know” things all of a sudden, crossed the line recently from dumb and obsequious to something else entirely. Treating them as alive and making conscious decisions is an almost religious belief. It won’t age well.

Hi guys, I've just done some past life regression and found out I used to be Homer, the ancient Greek epic poet. As such, in regard to the issue of whether Chris Nolan's Odyssey movie needs to be "historically accurate", let me just say: don't worry about it.

Ever since the first look at Matt Damon as Odysseus was revealed, Christopher Nolan’s adaptation of The Odyssey has faced questions about its historical accuracy. Now, the debut of its trailer has reinvigorated that debate. https://t.co/ww4vRRxNfY
